2nd Annual Christmas Breakfast Project '26
Our goal this year is to serve 50 families this Christmas, and we need your help to make it happen!

We Give Back Kindness Boxes ❤️
Everyone deserves to experience kindness, regardless of their circumstances.
Through our We Give Back initiative, Why Skip Kindness, Inc. provides complimentary kindness boxes to individuals who could benefit from a thoughtful gesture of celebration, encouragement, or unexpected joy.
Whether it's recognizing someone's birthday, bringing sunshine during a difficult season, or surprising someone out of the blue, because we believe small acts of kindness can make a meaningful difference.
Community members are encouraged to nominate individuals for a Birthday Box, Sunshine Box, or Out of the Blue Box. Nominations are reviewed throughout the year, with boxes gifted based on availability and our annual giving capacity.
Because kindness is meant to be shared.
Why Skip Coffee Day '26
Three Days. Countless Acts of Kindness. ☕❤️
What started as a simple idea became a three-day celebration of intentional kindness!
During our Why Skip Kindness Weekend, we encouraged others to spread kindness in meaningful ways.
☕ Pay It Forward: We challenged individuals to brighten someone's day by purchasing a cup of coffee for a stranger, whether in line or at the drive-thru.
❤️ Coffee on Us: We shared a Starbucks barcode, inviting individuals to enjoy a complimentary beverage courtesy of Why Skip Kindness, Inc.
☕ Kindness Pop-Up: To close out the weekend, we hosted a kindness pop-up at Capacity Church, giving away more than 25 FREE iced coffees as an intentional act of kindness!
It was a sweet ending to a beautiful weekend filled with generosity, unexpected surprises, and meaningful moments of joy.
Because kindness doesn't have to be complicated. Sometimes, it's as simple as a cup of coffee. ❤️
The Inaugural Christmas Breakfast Project '25
Because kindness should be intentional, visible, and lasting.
Christmas 2025, Why Skip Kindness honored the legacy of Rufus W. Skipworth III — our father, a man whose extraordinary generosity and quiet acts of love inspired a lifelong movement of kindness.
Through the Christmas Breakfast Project, we extended that same spirit to families across Philadelphia, an effort where we provided 12 local families with the essentials to enjoy a warm, Christmas morning meal together. We wanted to ensure families woke up to comfort, nourishment, and a moment of joy, because kindness can start as early as breakfast. Our team made deliveries directly to their homes, and we also offered a pick-up option.
Why Skip Coffee Day '25
On September 12, we honored our dad’s legacy through Why Skip Coffee Day, spreading intentional kindness one cup at a time. We invited our community to pay it forward by treating a stranger, coworker, or friend to coffee—turning an everyday purchase into an opportunity for connection and generosity. This year, we also did a “We Got Coffee at Home” Gift Basket Raffle, where we raffled off a Nespresso coffee machine and other coffee goodies (valued at $150.00).
Adopt A Family of Seven for the Holidays
December '24
We partnered with a community partner to adopt a family of seven—a mother, father, and their five daughters.
Through the generosity of our supporters, we provided every item on the family’s wish list, helping make their holiday brighter and showing them the love and care of our community.
Food Drive in Partnership with Philabundance, November '24
We hosted a community food drive benefiting Philabundance, collecting and donating six boxes of essential pantry items to help neighbors facing food insecurity.
Our supporters contributed food, monetary donations, and gift cards, helping us provide staples such as rice, pasta, canned fruits and vegetables, soups, and peanut butter. Together, we turned acts of kindness into tangible support for families in our community.
Annual Why Skip Coffee Day '23
In September 2023, we distributed over 100 bottles of coffee to the community in West Oak lane (Philadelphia) in front of Cathryn's Cake Salon. (Pictured: WSK Team and Owners of Cathryn's.
Local church donation '22
In 2022, we donated over 100 filled Easter eggs to a local church for their annual Easter egg hunt.
Kindness Kid Packs '20
In 2020, we gifted Kindness Kid Packs to 50 kids. The kindness packs included coloring & activity sheets, crayons and (2) kindness crafts. For ages 5-8 years of age. We LOVE
the kiddies!
Sunshine Kindness Bags '20
Since 2020, we've delivered several sunshine kindness bags to individuals going through rough times to brighten up their day. A small gift, with treats and a hand written note to lift their spirits.
Educator Appreciation Raffle '21
In 2021, we gifted 10 Educators with back to School cleaning bundles that included disinfectant wipes, hand sanitizer, gloves and hand soap. Not all hero's wear capes. We appreciate our educators!
Toys for Tots Drive '20
In 2020, we collected and donated toys to the Marine Corps reserve for the holidays. We were so glad to be apart of this, as we love to see children smile and be happy. Kindness matters!
Lunch for Essential Workers '20
During the Covid-19 Pandemic, we were able to provide lunch for 15 essential workers. Our essential workers got us through some tough times, and deserve continued recognition.
Annual Why Skip Coffee Day
An annual event since 2017 where we ask family/friends and social media to Pay It Forward and buy a stranger a cup of coffee in honor of our dad. Our dad was affectionately known as Skip. #WhySkipCoffeeDay
In 2020, we supported a local coffee shop, where we purchased 50 gift-cards to give to random individuals.
